Longarm Machine Quilting

I offer a variety of quilting styles. Choose from Edge-to-Edge, Custom or Heirloom. My studio is a cigarette/cigar/pipe smoke free environment. Quilting is priced by the style of the design, the complexity/density of the design and the size of the quilt. I require a $50.00 deposit with each quilt.
Prices will vary according to the technique and the complexity of the design. I have a minimum charge of $50.00. To estimate the quilting costs simply multiply the length by the width of your top. Multiple tops can be loaded on my frame and quilted with the same E2E design (for example: if you have a number of baby sized tops and they can all be quilted with the same design and with the same batting and backing fabric, then this option is for you!)
Example: 68" x 86" = 5848 square inches
5848 x .02 per square inch = $116.96
Upon receiving your quilt top, I will measure and check it over and confirm the quilting fee.
Basting - I offer a basting service for quilters who like to hand quilt or quilters who use their domestic sewing machine to quilt their tops. I use my longarm to baste the 3 layers together. Prices start at .007 cents per square inch.
Edge-to-Edge - This style is also known as an allover panto. It is a repeating design that is quilted over the entire quilt top, disregarding any piecing lines. This style can be either hand guided or computer guided. Depending on the scale and density of the design, prices start at .02 cents per square inch and go up to .025 cents per square inch.
Custom - I can use a combination of designs that will coordinate with the individual blocks, borders and style of your quilt. I can create custom designs to match certain elements of your quilt. You may also provide your own designs too. E2E in the body with separate border treatments ($20.00 extra charge if border design requires turning the quilt on the frame), small amounts of Stitch in the Ditch, and ruler work are included here. This style can be either hand guided, computer guided or a combination of both. Prices range from .025 to .045 cents per square inch.
Heirloom - I can emulate traditional hand quilting techniques for an outstanding quilt. Intricate feathers, cables, cross hatching, echo stitching and extensive stitch in the ditch, small scale stippling and McTavshing are included here. This style can be either hand guided, computer guided or a combination of both. Prices start at .05 cents per square inch.
Special Techniques - I can add special treatments to your quilt also. Such as trapunto, couching, thread play, etc. Prices vary depending upon the number and size of the special treatments.
Minimum quilting charge - minimum quilting charge $50.00
Thread charge - I use the finest threads available for longarm quilting; Supeior Threads, Aurifil and WonderFil. Choose from solid colors and variegated, cotton or polyester. $5.00 and up depending on the type of thread and the amount used (density of design).
Binding Charge - Yes, I can finish your quilts for you! You supply the binding fabric (minimum .5 metre) and I'll do the rest! Sewn to the front by machine and finished on the back by hand, .25 cents per linear inch. Scalloped/bias bindings, call for pricing.
Sewing Fees - preparation of top: squaring up backing, batting, top etc, pressing quilt top or backing fabric, re-sewing open or missed seams, seaming backing, etc..... charged at $20.00 an hour (or part thereof)
